Well I was planning to run Speed Passion 17.5 in stock but it still isn’t approved and is starting to look as though it might never be so I guess it will have to be one of the other options. We’ve tested both the Novak and the LRP so far and can’t see much difference. I will probably go with the Novak for old times sake but don’t think there is a lot in it.
They are both more expensive than the Speed Passion, hope they last awhile.

I noticed that Stormers have it described as:
IFMAR & EFRA Legal Hand Wound Brushless Motors. Two ball bearings, ultra light weight, very responsive. 17.5 turn is rated as ROAR 27t brushed. Sensor lead is same type as LRP speed controls.
So maybe it has or will happen soon?
I’m not giving up yet.

Your right Dave – the motor has been built to meet the rules and has been submitted to ROAR for about 3 weeks now but so far nothing – it’s not on the ROAR list so we can’t use it.
If it is ROAR approved at any stage we will have motors here within days, that’s for sure.LikeLike

Hey Dave how much are the speed passion 17.5 motors going to be costing when you get stock of them.
Secondly will they work with novak SS speedy.

Probably be about $90 but not real sure yet. They are a sendored motor so should work with the SS although I know nothing about the SS.
