Don’t forget…..Gold Coast (Gilston). Last to have a run before the NRT (you can also nominate on this Sunday – 25th for the titles).

I have called into the GC track 5 times over the past 2 weeks and it has never been locked. Might be lucky and not need anyone to turn up 😀

I was thinking I’d go Bayside but I hate the reverse direction on that track so may be swayed to the Gold Coast. We haven’t had a chance to try the 21.5 brushless 540 alternative at the Goldie yet either so that’s another reason to go there. Mind you haven’t tried it a Bayside either for that matter.

Sounds like most electric guys want to run normal direction. Problem solved ,elec run as normal and gas guys run on reverse track.

Hey Tony – are you able to contact with anyone from the club and see if that is a possibility (running 540 regular direction ). Not much point testing brushless alternatives in reverse as we don’t have a benchmark going that way

I don’t have any contact numbers but I will hop onto rctech and tell them all electric drivers will be running in normal direction or else……………….no one will turn up. 👿

It’s probably not a big deal and not worth making too many waves over – if the club has decided to race that direction we can just go to the coast – if we go to the coast we will have at least one more running brushless 21.5 in 540 (if the venom systems turn up by Friday)

Looks as though it’s Bayside for me. Tony I’ll have a Venom system for you to test if you can bear to go that slow (540 speed ) see how it compares to the SP outfits of B1 and B2 .

Just a small crowd at Bayside today with most heading for practice at the Gold Coast, but what we lacked in numbers we made up for in enthusiasm.
11 EP and 9 GP I think the totals were.
Of teh EP it was all 540 but did include a couple of stock with their ESC wound back to zero timing for teh fun of it all.
Of teh 540 we had 3 or 4 people running the Speed Passion 21.5 fixed timing combo and one running teh Venom package.
The Speed Passion boys continued to be very similar in speed and probably had teh most fun. The Venom package car (Tony Lewis) was a noticable amount faster than teh resr and was able to serve it up to teh stock guys.
We will give teh Venom package some more trial time at Meakin next week but first impressions are that it is too fast for inclusion in teh 540 class although would be a good class on its own – about teh same speed as stock used to be I reckon or maybe a tad slower .
Of the GP John Taintons car won both teh Gas class finals.
Of the EP Tony Lewis took the finals from Shane Pearce and David Guyatt.
    A good day I reckon.
Wonder what happened at teh Gold COast

GC had 2 heats of 17.5 and 1 each of 10.5 & Mod. 3 qualifiers and 1 final. Could have had more racing as it was all over by 12.30 but the club official didn’t seem that interested in running the meet and more interested in being elsewhere.

Heard that Chris was fast in Stock and that Corey was fast in Mod – not sure who was the go in 10.5.

Quiet day in , Hervey Bay, after rocking up to oour usual venue to fine it over taken by tennis players, but after a quick rethink a new venue was located and we moved shop up there for the day. Only five stock cars and three F1’s for the day with others out on work or down with broken parts, most enjoyable day ,apart from an abundance of broken belts from rocks on the unprepared surface, Shevo was on firee with the LP, and Ben Harding is ever improving his driving, his car was hooked in stock, I was suffering some glitching problems and small handling issues, but we had a good chance to try a few setup changes, cant wait till next weekend at the Goldy…
