Stories from the world of RC car racing

Busy afternoon

Had a more or less free afternoon (waiting for the kids and grandkids to arrive to celebrate my birthday) so spent some time out in the garage doing some RC.
You won’t believe this Leonard, but I had the set up station out and diod some work on the Mi4LP ready for running stock at the Interclub. Decided I could get away without rebuilding the diff and might decide to do the shocks one night during the week – or not, but put the motor and ESC in and everything seems to work ok – and I will give it some new tyres for the day.
Oh and I got out the Associated SC10 that Scott sent me and put a motor and radio gear etc in that. Had the old control brushless ESC and motor from the mini days hanging around doing nothing so bolted that in. Went with a fairly small pinion as for around the yard and up the cul-de-sac you need grunt not top speed. Took it for a test run naturally – wanted a drive before Stephen gets here later and runs into the side of the house and breaks it. Fantastic fun, what a machine -really love it, bring back 2wd I say. Now the only problem is what to do with the box, it’s bigger than my garage, won’t fit in the wheely bin, oh well I can always sleep in it if I spend too much time on RC 😆 😆 😆
Wonder when the next short course truck race is on ❓
