Stories from the world of RC car racing

There was a great turnout of electric cars at Bayside today and a heat of Gas as well.
The racing was fabntastic in all classes.
540.
Heavy TQ’d with the only 17 lapper in qualifying using the handout motor from Tamworth with Chase Gregory and the Keulemans in hot pursuit, Mark Lobley is also showing a good turn of speed as well.
There were 2 finals today and they were scored on the examine dropped then qualifying system. AFter the dust had settled (and both Heavy and Chase had changed back to their older motors ) it was a 1st and 2nd to both of them and so Heavy took it on qualifying. 3rd was the birthday girl Jacinta Keuelmans. – well done.
Stock
Adrian Beggs cam out of retirement to drive the ActionRC Serpent S400 with the Speed Passion ESC and 17.5 motor on board and looked the goods after a couple of settling practice runs and some major repairs on the chassis that has been drifting of late.
Jordan took TQ from Bob and Adrian but after the finals it was Adrian first from Jordan and Bob.
Today in stock we saw tha the Speed Passion ESC was just as quick if not quicker than the Tekin and a lot more user friendly with no need for a computer at the track for adjustments.
Sorry I don’t have the results for Super Stock and Gas as yet. I think Simon Nicholson won the SS and Wade Lobley the Gas but have no more detail.
I think teh next Bayside is on the Saturday night 12th June.
