Lots of people have been having problems with cogging even with V3. It seems from some testing that if you set the Feel and Boost close together ie 3 and 3 or 7 and 7 then there is no cogging. Try this with yours and let us know what happens.

Have tried FEEL 6, BOOST 8 on the street and there is no cogging. But will be interesting to see how speedy behaves in race format on track. Keen to try on Sunday at sunnycoast. Fingers crossed. 😕 😕

I used one today and had it setup on 8 and 10 I think it was. No problems at all. Loads more power then the Gen 1 SP ESC I have!!! Have now bought one from a fellow racer.

Quite a few of us used either SP or HW speedies with the 422 software in stock on teh weekend without any issues and with good results.

Robert, Im not sure what you can do with the LRP, but buy a Speed Pasion or Hobbywing speedy Maybe. The software is readily available, and like Heavy said, he was as quik as anyone else at the Interclub up the coast.

Hi people,
I love LRP.
It has always been a great product line, although recently with the SXX SS they have let us all down by releasing the product too early. I purchased a Mk2 when it was first released, great results, but cogged 2-3 times per race, sent it back to AE for upgrade to Mk3, they lost it, but after 6 weeks I got it back in my car 3 days before the VIC’s. put it on the track and it cogged, changed sensor wire, motor, etc would move. Put a long sensor wire on and bang! it works… No cogging after 6 runs of 5 minutes. Best brakes ever, smooth, all over the track. Fast, but need to compair with other drives during this coming weekend. 17.5 turn. 5.1 Ratio, Settings 3,7,10,0. I’ll let you know the results…
Jason.

Just following up on the above post, Qualified 3rd place after being pushed off the track twice by other drivers, but followed up with Main 1 =1st place and Main 2= 2nd place, Main 3= DNF. Overall result 1st place with a big fat trophy . Main 3 I felt something go wrong in the car and pulled over, found sensor wire had been pulled out after rubbing up against another car.
Have recently installed a 5 turn, had cogging but played with sensor wire and cleanned hall sensor and re-shimmed motor – no cogging.
Installed 10.5 turn, same problem with cogging, but a few minutes of playing around and had all the cogging effect disappear.
LRP is a good product, not perfect but can put you on the podium. Note: all motors I have tried are SP V3. Next I am going to try a LRP X12…. might get the temp sensor working….
