Stories from the world of RC car racing

The outlook for my Schumacher shipment this week is not good. left Schumacher Friday and is currently still sitting in the East Midlands Airport waiting for planes to get back in the air – which I suppose will happen as soon as considered safe.
I’m still good for most parts and a variety of Sorex premounts etc. and naturally the other stuff I usually sell like Speed Passion’s fabulous V3 motors in 17.5 and 10.5 winds are in stock and available – I also have one lonely Mi4Lp kit in stock at the moment. There are also some Jaco F1 foams in the box – purple fronts and pink rears so all is not lost in the volcanic ash.

    Dave,
The local shop down here in said they can’t get Sorex in Australia anymore. I was lucky to get the last pair of 28Rs.
Any truth to this of just a furfey?

Would think it’s a furfey but not 100% certain as I only stock premounts these days and I don’t buy them from the Aussie Importer of Sorex.
Hey Toby when are you due back here ?

Ok – that’s boring. No worries I think I’ll make some other plans then for a spare Mi4.

Parcel has moved a bit – somewhere in Germany now – is that a backward move . best hope is for Tuesday 27th now with the long weekend intervening.

I’m guessing they would be prioritising people (and there luggage) over parcels at the moment, but that’s probably little comfort to the local RC racers…
On a personal note: I current have a friend staying with me cos he can’t fly onto the UK and another that is stuck in Germany and can’t fly back home to Singapore.
    Difficult times…. 😐

On there own planes your right, they don’t anymore ❗ … but they use to 😉
But like most businesses they will reserve the right to use “sub-contractors” when things are tight (eg. DHL, FedEx, AND Qantas, & BA) to best meet there delivery times. All I was trying to say was for everyone not to expect too much with this world-wide backlog. That’s All.

I really wouldn’t know – just guessing really. I’m sure you’re right about not expecting too much as this thing is way bigger than we have a hope of getting our heads around here in the comfort of lil old Brissy

    hi Heavy,
have you heard of anything regarding the Cougar SV? These seem to have been some delays but the manual is online now and there are rumours they will be shipping early next week?
Also, have you just ordered kits or parts too? I just realised I need the saddle-lipo conversion for mine 😉

I’ve been emailing Schumacher regularly but they seem reluctant to be specific about shipment date.
I haven’t ordered any spare parts yet but will order in a LIPO conversion this week and a few other essential bits – it’s always better to order the parts after actually eyeballing the car – you can get a better idea of what is likely to be needed – I don’t want a million unneeded parts like I did with the CAT by ordering before I saw the car.

Schumacher have started shipping the Cougar SV today in UK. Not sure yet when ours will be shipped, but should be next few days.
