Stories from the world of RC car racing

I’m trying to put a EP buggy together for a young (5) relative of mine. I’ve bought a Tamiya KeenHawk very cheaply (which is in magic condition) and I have to load it with motor, radio batteiries etc etc all within a tight budget.
I have a radio (digital and 27FM ) which I am happy to throw in but I feel the handset is a bit big – I’d be happy to swap it (handset crystal and receiver) with someone if I could get a handset that is smaller so a 5 year olds hand can get into the action.
I’m thinking I might put the Hobby Wing (mini spec) motor and speedie in and set the radio end point to say 50% to slow it down. The beauty of that is that I can set the LIPO cut off because I can imagine it’s going to be driven to flat every time. I have a couple of small size 3250 LIPO I can throw in.
I need a simple easy to use 240v plug in LIPO charger – anyone got one cheap they want to sell or knows of one that’s not too dear new.

Thanks Troy for the offer. I think I am onto a pistol grip remote which is a bit smaller than the one I had.
