Big news this morning is the rumour that Peter Dooley, on his return to Queensland this month (April) will take to 8th scale GP onroad racing. Dooley says “EP just doesn’t do it for me any more, I’m going to take Brendale by force”. PD is apparently shopping his services around various importers trying to secure a drive based on his international race winner status.
I don’t know about you, but I reckon it will be worth being there the first time PD fires up his new ride! And there could be a bargain in the “For Sale” section shortly afterwards.
In the other piece of news I have to share with you today, Launceston R/C has secured 150 tonnes of clay, and the agreement of our landlord to let us turn out indoor concrete track into Australia’s biggest and best indoor offroad track. Bring on the Cougar SV and CAT SX2 (and yep, I have a spare room for anyone wanting to visit!).
