SP have released a Beta (test) version of what their new Supercharger software upgrade will be like especially for Stock and Super Stock motors –
Although it is only a test at the moment I couldn’t resist downloading it for a trial.
I’ll admit I had a few issues getting the test to work but all is rosy now after discovering I had a broken sensor cable.
On the bench it sounds and feels fantastic – there is now a download on the SP web site which explains the settings and which gives the clearest set of instructions for each motor 10.5, 13.5 and 17.5 that I have seen so far – even I can understand what to do – go here
I’ll be testing on the weekend hopefully and then there might be a Tekin on the market 😆 😆 😆

Hey heavy… did SP ever get around to updating the 1.1 or did they just say stuff it and released the 2.0?

Don’t think anyone had even thought about upgrades back then. They just bought out a new speedie like everyone else

there was some talk at one stage on the SP forum that they would release an interface box for the 1.1… but it never seemed to come to fruition… you are probably right and just decided to release a new speedie… then TEKIN came along and changed the rules
btw its being reported that there will be a new software version for the Tekin soon… and its better than 203!LikeLike

I’ve asked Wynnum if they are keen to run a 540 trophy event this weekend. Hopefully we can get some drivers to support it, we need approx. 15 drivers to make it worthwhile. Ill keep you posted.

Here’s the problem frustrating me today (this is April Fools Day but this is no joke)
My speed control works perfectly well on the bench – as soon as I install it in the car there is no throttle response – still have steering so seems the receiver etc is fine. Just re-soldering all the wires etc but doesn’t appear to be any problems there.LikeLike

Got to the track for an hour or so and ran the Speed Passion – unfortunately the computer wasn’t on so I couldn’t get any lap times and there was noone else running stock at the time so I couldn’t get a bench mark. Think I was a bit low on the top end but that’s just a feel thing no hard evidence – just have to save it for a race day I guess.

Think Speed Passion have a little way to go yet with their program – not as much top end as a Tekin. I’ll be waiting now for the official version of teh software.

Decided to try the Hobby Wing latest Beta so downloaded it to my Speed Passion this morning – certainly on the bench it sounds the goods but yet to put it in a car and try it on the track – maybe on Sunday.
