Stories from the world of RC car racing

Finally got the chance to race one of Adrian Beggs’ AGR cars at Midweek Meakin 24th March.
The one I ran was the base model called “Clubman”
Very happy to say the car is rock solid, very safe to drive (the rear is planted) and never put a foot wrong all night – couldn’t say the same for the driver – ( ordinary as usual for this driver at Logan night meets) – but given the company I was in qualifying and finishing 5th wasn’t too shaby.
I ran some hard tyres of unknown parentage on the front and Jaco Pink on the rear and could have done with some better fronts – maybe will try some Jaco purple next time out or maybe a more agressive front wing.
If you are in the market for a f1 then I’d recommend you have a good hard look at an AGR- Clubman, Racer or Pro models – good to support a local enterpreneur and local spare parts supply is of value as well.

Actually Mid week mania at Meakin went off pretty well last night – a heat of both 540 and stock TC and 2 heats of F1 made for a good night.
