Stories from the world of RC car racing

The 2010 Victorian Champs will take place at Melbourne’s TFTR (Templestowe), one of Australia’s best EP on-road tracks.  It’s 29-30 May which makes it the same weekend as the Qld vs NSW interstate challenge, but if you don’t feel like hitting Tamworth, come join me at TFTR.
I’ve booked my tickets and will definitely be there, travelling via the spirit of tassie. Hope Bass Strait is good to me! Several other Queensland drivers are considering attending, along with international superstar Peter Dooley.
Hit up TFTR’s website for more information.  Entry forms to be released soon.

All welcome! Interstaters get undercover pits, table, chair and power. Great track, great competition, great company. Thanks for the plug Scott. Looking forward to seeing that Mi4 rocket of yours again!! 🙂

I already told you I’ll buy you dinner one night. Cheeseburger, fries and a coke (small size of course). what more could you want?
I’m sure leonard will chip in with a mars bar, and tones might offer some used diff balls.

I am trying to get there… all depends on travel plans and partner’s deadlines… its possible if I can find somewhere to park the van etc not to far away
At this rate it will be the first racing I do since leaving QLD

there is a caravan park about 5 mins away from the track adrian (if that’s the kind of van you mean). discovery parks melbourne. I think its this one: http://www.cbtp.com.au/
(but check maps to confirm, I’m not a melbournite)

You are spot on Scott. Thanks for that. I’ve added a link to this park on our Local Accomodation page on the website http://www.tftr.org.au/vics. Control tyres have been decided as Sorex 32’s. Entry form will be up in the next few days 🙂

    Thanks Scott
I’ve already checked out all the parks close to the track and either they can’t take a rig as big as ours is(11m+ tow vehicle) or aren’t pet friendly… and both are a must… we are still looking but so far the closest that MIGHT be suitable is Craigieburn
