This week at Logan is the third Saturday so that means F1 as well as the other regular TC classes.
Gates open about 4 and racing starts about 6 – don’t miss it.

A good night.
2 heats of 540
2 heats of stock
1 heat of Mod
1 heat of 540 F1
Some great racing in both the heats and the finals.
In 540 the interest was in the continued testing by Heavy of the 21.5 brushless. Was the motor substantially quicker than a 540 or not, and was it reasonable to allow it in the class alongside the regular grey Johnson motor that is the only legal motor for 540 in Qld at the moment.
As it turned out Paul went quicker than Heavy in one heat but the 21.5/Schuie combination was good enough for TQ and a easy win in the final. Vazzo was expected to feature but he had an offnight for a variety of reasons.
In stock there was some interest of a ESC nature with Chris Sturdy now on the pace speed wise, he now has a Tekin, was he going to be good enough to keep up with Clinton. Chris had some radio problems and only finished on heat of qualifying and ended about 5 sec behind Clinton and Peter a further 8 sec back so definitely still a Clinton affair – Clinton was still running a Mi4 but expect to see him in a T3 from now on. In the final Clinton and Chris got away from the rest with Chris stuck to the back of Clinton for a couple of laps before pulling of a good clean pass and leading for a lap only to find a couple of barriers which put him back. Chris did the fastest lap of the race so we know he has the speed just has to learn to use it for the whole race now. Peter swept into second, Chris third and that was the way they finished. Intertesting racing.
In mod Corey was untouchable qualifying a few seconds ahead of Leonard – Peter qualified 3rd with a 10.5. In the final it was more of the same with Corey in first the whole way from Leonard. Both about a lap ahead of Peter.
F1 was a Martin benefit with the Corally a lap up on the field, Nat continuing a good run with the F104 to qualify 2nd. Final was also all Martin a lap up on Stuart then Nat third.
