Stories from the world of RC car racing

The new Launceston R/C Raceway is up and running. On a rainy night we enjoyed our first race meeting in the big shed. Humble beginnings with a smaller and simpler layout than we will end up with, but plenty of fun at a venue with unbelievable potential.  Tonight we had short course trucks and a mixture of 10th, 8th and 16th EP trucks and buggies. A mini and a touring car cut some practice laps so we know they’ll work on the concrete surface. Lots of interested spectators means it should grow quickly.
Awesome!

(I know, most of you aren’t in Tassie……but share my joy ok?!)

All that space up for grabs? Drool…
“Look son, they are wearing Jeans in Summer!!.. Envy!!!
Not entirely sure Peter Giblin, heavy or I would cope with the ad hoc drivers stand, but hey, a few dollies a solid comfy chairs and rope to winch us up and we’d be sweet! Might be a little warmer near the lights too.
Lots of potential there.. Should do a little Top Gear Tassie style and race cars against heli’s!!
