Stories from the world of RC car racing

Next weekend we have some tough choices to make.
Friday night from 6pm – Brendale Novice and Gas Tourer and Ep 10.5 – (I think but can’t download their calendar).
Saturday night from 4pm – Chargers EP Offroad
Saturday night from 4pm – Bayside EP and GP Onroad
Sunday from 9am Sunny Coast EP and GP Onroad
Sunday from 9am Gold Coast EP only no gas Onroad
There’s a possibility for an Ironman there – (3 events on the weekend) anyone up for it ?

Chargers Offroad Saturday night… Nominations from 4pm and racing from 5pm.
Very healthy fields of modified lately, Stock truck is also popular.

I certainly won’t be at any of the Sunday meets that’s for sure – Guyatt family reunion happening.
Saturday night Chargers has to look doubtful if the weather forecast comes true – Bayside should be ok.

I’ll be out there at some stage – got to try and get to Bayside for awhile as well – not racing this weekend though.

If you chose Brendale Friday night the event was truncated because of computer problems.
If you chose Bayside you got 2 runs in before the rain.
If you chose Chargers Offroad then you got wet, and muddy. The “Optimists of Offroad” have seemingly gone – no-one hung around saying “we might get some races in yet it was only a shower”, like we used to in the old days – they all jumped in their cars and took off. As I left there was one young guy running a car around and the track didn’t look too bad.
Anthony is claiming a Ironman – reckons he’s been at the track 5 days in a row, Clinton has piked – apparently a kids party with lollies and cordial has taken preference to racing Sunday.
If you chose Sunny Coast – sorry it’s been rained off.
If you chose the Gold Coast – sorry it’s been rained off.
Do we need an indoor track in Brisbane ?
Gee, hope it’s fine by Wednesday night.

We do need an indoor track Heavy 🙂
Bayside could have been a great night if not rained out. Short report: Stock, Clinton was looking the goods with Pete, Jordan and Bob up there. Mod was all Corey and that beautiful XRAY of his, with Anthony and Leonard trying to catch him, well done Corey your on fire. GT and PRO was dominated by Lil Johnny and John Snr.
