We’re in the throes of putting together our track design for the new launceston indoor r/c raceway.  Challenge for us is that we want to be able to run onroad and offroad cars in the same race meeting – and would rather not have to continually move jumps on and off the track.
We’re working on a multi-option design that uses specific sections for onroad and offroad.  Here’s what we have so far….your thoughts and suggestions welcome:
(track size is 36m * 18m, lanes are 3m wide)

    Nice track Scott…
    The only thing I would change would be turn 3 for the off road. Instead of going into turn 3 and then into the off road section you could make a turn 3a for off road and 3b for onroad and turn 4a and 4b. Basically the two lanes will run parallel to each other. This would let the off road flow a little better. I think when I trek down that way I will be bringing a few cars.

    Wall ride at turn two hairpin. Similar to the Euros track from a few years ago or the 2009 Pro-Line Surf City Classic at OC/RC Raceway.
    You might be able to make some table top sections on some shared track, probably the far side of the track from the drivers stand. The jump faces lift up on hinges for the onroad to drive underneath and lower down for the offroad guys to have more air time.

    I’m with Heavy on that.. anywhere in Brisbane would be nice…. All you need is sound proofing and exhaust fans and Tassie would increase in population over night!!
    Petty contribution:
    Where Adrian made the good suggestion, would shortening the middle kerb cells B4,C4,B5, C5 to C5 and B5 only for onroad prevent hop overs at C6 running wide and onto main straight…
