Not much to tell. Numbers were down a little across the classes…1 heat of 540, stock and mod. 1 heat of pro tourer and gas tourer.
A different layout was run by most of the classes (turn in on old short track, into new extension and miss out on mug handle going immediately onto the back straight).
Not sure about results.
Personally, I had an indifferent night, still recovering from the disease I got from someone……damn nearly wiped me out the previous weekend. Had issues with transponder not being counted, diff issues, and trying to sort out the new alloy suspension blocks.
It was great to see Chow (Andrew Clough) make the trip down (by himself from Harvey Bay), very slack Shev….But I got another new toy (second hand…thanks to Chow) Canon EOS20D SLR camera!!! Early Christmas to myself!!!
This week, I will be heading down to Meakin Park for some mid week madness! and then will be following it up with Meakin Park again on Saturday night….not sure yet on what class to run….it definitely won’t be in 540 though.
Hope the camping trip is going well Heavy! Seeya when you get back.

it was a smaller night with racing winding down for the year, ran through nicely so was an early finish.
had a good field of mod with chow, pete and clint joining lenny, cb and myself.
after watching some spectacular crashes in practice, we opted to run the old short track in mod – forgot how much fun that layout is.
cb was on fire all night and put in some very fast runs, without his mechanic no less!
clint was going well with his new schumacher, he seemed to be loving it.
it’s been good to see the ‘new’ guys taking to mod and doing really well.
just like to add it’s been great racing with you all this year, looking forward to what will hopefully be a bigger year for mod in 2010.LikeLike

My contract finishes in April 2010… Cashed up, unemployed, with too much time on my hands… (sounds like flea don’t I, hahaha). Hope u have the Shuie all sorted with a perfect setup for me.

Had a good night out with the F1! (F1 virgin – well sort of…..last time I drove one was in the mid 1990’s)……what load of fun and good racing. I had to come to terms with the way they drive and handle….very different to TC.
I ran mine completely stock and it was a handful to drive (too much on power steering and not enough low speed steering and rear end kept wanting to step out). I will play around with setup in the new year when I get some tuning options and also might have to add some weight to the car.
Night was relaxed and racing was good. We had 2 heats of 4 F1’s and some spectators. Hopefully there will be more in the new year!
I believe that this Saturday night (Holden v Ford Challenge at Meakin Park) there will be a brigade of F1’s as well (so far confirmed are: Bob ‘Backdoor’ Vardy, Adrian ‘The F1 Guru’ Beggs, Brad ‘I’m so tall’ Hall, and myself). I hear that Anthony ‘The Flea’ Atack might bring out his 1/12th and show the F1 boys the way around the track……time will tell. So if you don’t have the gear to run in the 540 challenge and have an F1, get your backside trackside on Saturday night for the last meet of the year!!!

Some say he never had any talent to begin with, but what talent do u need when ur running the Schuie…
Others say all he wants is to race RC again and where he comes doesn’t really matter…
