mmm Brendale could be a goer if it’s on as the weekend is totally goooone! I might throw the 10.5 in for something different.

Got the little Hobby Wing brushless (ex Mini) in my car for tonight as I blew up my 540/stock hybrid on the weekend and don’t know how to build one so will stick with commercially available motors till we build a rule about motors. I’m still keen to see a spec motor in F1 – whatever it is -any motor up to stock or 17.5 would be good IMO.

The AGR team didn’t show this week so numbers were down a bit – we had the quality though.
Good to see Rob Jones finally racing the Tamiya F103 and going pretty well by the third race.
Brad Hall had it all during the heats but lost it in the final allowing Martin to win the final from Heavy and someone else came 3rd – the old memory again, it was Rob or Stuart or Brad or Michael or Shane maybe.
I was just running a standard 540 motor tonight after deciding that the Hobby Wing 3000 thing was a bit too much for me to handle in a F1 car. Most of the guys run a 540 arm in a rebuildable stock can – I’m keen to run a commercially available motor as not everyone can get the 540 arm into a stock can (my rubbish bin is littered with motors and cans from me trying ) and certainly I am not going down the road of buying back com lathes etc etc. Unfortunately for me a “normal” brushless motor won’t fit in my particular car or I would be running one for sure.
Anyway we had a good time, some good racing, some laughs and learnt a bit more about F1 racing….all good.

I’m looking forward to 540 at Meakin tonight.
It’ll be the first time I’ve had any kind of speed there.
Plus Chris Sturdy might be there… and I want an autographed photo of the “Prince”
    😛

Good racing in all electric classes Saturday night. There were a couple of Gas cars running with the mod but they pulled out after a couple of races
Full heat of 540, 2 heats of stock and a heat of mod. Results are up on the LCRCCC page.
Chris Glenn first in 540, Clinton in Stock and Martin in Mod.
    A good night.

Being called Chris is the best compliment I’ve had all week.
But I do believe I was channeling a bit of Sturdy last night… the car just couldn’t be touched.
    Was a great night!!

Yeah it was a great night. I had a great 3rd qualifier against young Jordan in stock that’s for sure.
