Stories from the world of RC car racing

28-30 August.
Practice day is over and now it’s just 2 days of racing to go.
There are some fast and some not so fast but from what I saw most are so far enjoying the chance to take a day off (work and school) and to get away with some mates and play with their cars.
Lots of changes being made to set ups etc.
Team Action RC / Schumacher.
We have a strong team lined up for this weekend – missing our gun in 540 and should have tried to organise a cover but never mind.
In stock we have multiple talent, headed by Beggsie, Shev,Matty, Heavy,Toby and Brad and whoever I’ve forgotten. Prediction that maybe 6 Schumacher in the A.
Moving to Super Stock we have a strong line up in Chow and Tony and then in mod Chow and the Tasmanian connection ( Scott ), and visiting Schuie pilot Kirby Masterman, all good A final chances.
Should be a great weekend.

A great day of qualifying action – the track came and went and then got faster again for the final set of heats.
I’m sure there was some stories of hard luck and so on as usual but overall I think everyone gave it there best shot. I’m not sure there is a track anywhere around SEQ that emphasises the speed of the mod cars from the pits – to be able to see that chicane at the end of the main straight from the pits is an awesome sight .
In mod Anthony just grabbed TQ in the last qualifier from Kirby who missed the last round as he went of to a wedding.
In 19t the TQ went to Cory although Tony pressed him all teh way and the finals should be great tomorrow.
In Stock it was all Shev with Peter and Adrian in close company.
540 would probably be Kenny but I am not sure who would have been 2nd and third. There will be good racing tomorrow in this class as well.
Finals will start at 9 Sunday morning – should be some spectacular action.
