Stories from the world of RC car racing

Yesterday it was my birthday – yep I’ve had a few and after awhile they all seem the same but this one was a bit different.
My lovely wife took me to the Outback Spectacular for dinner and the show. WOW what a great night out – not an RC car in sight, great logistics organisation to get 1000 meals out that quick and still hot and great food – impressive. The show was great as well, really enjoyed the night. If you haven’t been there do yourself a favour.
My kids gave me a GPS which is good – so far this week I haven’t got lost going to work so it’s working, the lady inside there and I have had a couple of disagreements but were getting it together slowly.
I will shout myself something RC related no doubt – not sure what yet, maybe a new battery or a servo – waiting to see if F1 is here to stay if so I might be in the market there, I really like F1 racing, I’ve got a couple of old ones but I might need to upgrade to a Beggs Special, or a Corally or a F104 – time will tell.
Until next July …..

Happy Birthday Heavy. Sounds like you had a good day. Hope you didnt have to work on your B’day.
I havent worked on my B’day for about 12 years, reason being I was driving to work the morning of my 21st and got booked doing 90 in a 60 with an expired rego sticker and no seatbelt 😆 My B’day money was gone in 60 seconds 😥 So I swore I would never work on my special day again 😆

    Happy Belated Birthday Dave,
Hope you had a good 1!
+ 1 about the Outback Spectacular show. We went a year ago, and to be honest i had reservations about it before hand thinking it might be too touristy or too little for too much $$.
But we left the show very impressed and had a ball. Very well organised, great setup and cant argue about the meals and drinks supplied.
I still wear the straw hat too!
