The F1 racing was pretty good tonight – even though there were only 5 F1 cars the races were great. Roll on next fortnight – back to Wednesday nights so come on down and have a go. There are heaps of F1 cars lying in cupboards in Bris somewhere from when we used to race them before – go drag em out.

Hope it’s not raining at Bayside tomorrow – I get to race my Mi4 for the first time. Might take the F1 down for a play in the lunch break.

I wish I could race this weekend. I’ll have to wait until next Bayside meet for a run although I’ll probably run offroad instead. 😉
Good luck with the MI4 mate, I’m sure it will be hot on Clintons tail 😆 😆 😆

bayside was very wet today – when we got there springs of water were coming up from everywhere – seems that teh roadwork and associated works have changed teh rain water course and a massive storm on Friday night has caused major run off around teh track.
By 10 Doug and his band of workers had a mostly dry track to run on – a bit different from teh usual layout and with a couple of seepage hazards but good enough for some very fast laps.
A small number of racers faced the flag 1 heat of 540, 1 of stock and 1 each of Gas and Pro Tourer.
In 540 the day belonged to Mitchell Hollis I think with a TQ and win in the final.
In stock Bob Vardy(mi4)and Johnathon(mi4) duked it out with I think Bob ending up on TQ – the only non Schumacher in the top 5 was Peter Backett who was qualified 2nd or 3rd.
In the final it looked as though Bob or Peter or Johnathan would be able to do the stuff as they were all quicker than the rest – although Andrew had plenty of go after an ordinary qualifying session – as it turned out Johnathan lost a wheel and Bob suffered some other drama leaving Peter a clear winner with Heavy in second.
For me the first meet with the Mi4 was great – I need some stiffer springs but apart from that the car is fantastic – a definite improvement on the 3.5 – I love it.

So did you get the Mi4 yet Tony?

Will be picking up MI 4 from heavy in 4 weeks when I will next see him. One week to build then on track for Mod debut. Have borrowed a 6.5 motor, to try. I will start in the shallow end first. 🙂

Well I had a blast at bayside today! It was great to get some close racing in with everyone, thanks guys.
I gotta say, the comradery between the “Schumacher Clan” is fantastic. Everyone is helping each other out with setup while trying differnt things and giving feedback to each other.
See you all at Logan!

Pfft…..are you serious Heavy??? 4.5t is for the weak…..go 2.0t!!!
Now on serious note:
6.5t is a great place to start. They certainly seem very quick and extremely competitive in the UK (they run 5cell with open motors or lipos with 6.5t motor limit)
