There is a slight problem. The assembled kits have arrived and been sent out to our customers but we’ve just found out they are all missing servo posts. This is being rectified as we speak with a small little bag for each car being sent out to me from Schumacher today.
If you can’t wait try any old servo mounting post you have lying around – I just put one in mine with a pair of old (Hotshot) Tamiya servo posts – the red clashes with the purple a bit but they work.
I’ll get them out to you ASAP.

2 questions have arisen covering the build and the servo installation.
1.In the Mi4 there is a bit of sideways play in the layshaft pulley – is there a reason for that or should it be shimmed out ?
2.When building by the book (or even with the preassembled kits ) and using a standard type servo (KO or Futaba) the bottom of the ball stud on the steering won’t clear the corner of the servo – if I shim between the bulkhead ( U3504) and the steering mount (U3501) by 1mm, which will raise the whole steering enough to clear the servo, will this affect the steering geometry etc in any detrimental way ?
    The answers are as follows
1.There should be a small amount of play in the layshaft, any more than .2-.3 of a mm can be removed by adding a shim or two.
2.Use a pair of 0.5 or 1mm washers (depending on servo height) between the alloy steering housing (U3493) and the c/f arm (U3501) then remove the washer that’s underneath the ball stud on the c/f arm (U3501) to bring the height back down again.
These washers should be included in the tuning/spares bag and this will not affect the steering geometry at all.
