Stories from the world of RC car racing

Bayside Onroad
There was a relatively small number at Bayside today but still plenty of action on the track.
In stock Clinton had everything his own way but Bob continued to do enough to keep Clinton on his toes.
In Gas Tourer Tony Lewis continues to impress but it was Wade that took TQ. In the final the Lewis camp went with a daring 1 pit stop strategy to Wades 2 stop but it wasn’t quite enough – still an interesting final.
There was also racing in 540 and Pro Nitro but I don’t have the results of those as I had to leave early.
Chargers Offroad
Interest in EP Offroad continues to grow and Chargers are at the forefront of that growth in Brisbane. I didn’t actually get a count but I’d guess there were more than 40 out there today all seemingly having a great day – I have no results as yet.

A Big thanks to Heavy for pitting for me today. The one stop statergy nearly paid off. But Wade was just too quick.. Will have to dig a bit deeper next race meet. Will have to find 0.5 sec per lap to match Wades pace. 🙂 🙂

You mean Bob was keeping Clinton on his toes in the pit area ❓ 😆

For those interested the results for Sundays racing at Chargers have been posted to the clubs website.
There was a total of 47 entries on the day. One racer also went for the ironman award by running 3 classes…
It would appear that having the track in a more public area has been a boon for driver numbers, and even more pleasing to see the number of newcomers and juniors to the sport!
