  • New quick release layshaft design for ease of maintenance.
  • New ability to flip transmission to mount on other side to change weight balance for lipo or Nimh.
  • New optimised carbon fibre upper link design with options to adjust roll centres.
  • New centre point steering with forward facing balls to fine tune geometry. Fully adjustable Velocity Ratio, Ackermann Angle and Ackerman Rate.
  • New slim lightweight CNC machined diff and spool pulleys.

The more I look at that the better it gets. Lot’s of that stuff (motor clamp mount, upper link mounts etc ) have been used and proven in the CAT.
Lots of the suspension parts – arms, uprights, drive shafts etc are common to the Mi3.5 and the diff and spool and one way. Belts ??
Chassis, bulkheads, top deck, link mounts and suspension pin mounts are different of course.
Maybe I’ll make a comeback to EP Onroad after all 😉 😉
Send the Mugen back Tony – we’ve got a new toy to play with. 😆 😆

Not sure why they’ve ditched the current set-up used for the suspension mounts (which I think is one of the best features of the Mi3 and Cat) but otherwise it does look very nice.
My TC5 is gone now, so time to think about a new car 😉

Mugen is near completion..No refund now. Am looking forward to the new Challenge. Will wait and watch the new M I-4 for a while. Heavy, if the mugen ends up in the boot on too many occasions, you can then say ‘Tony I told you so!!!’

It’ll want to be a good Mugen – the Cen is fairly flying now – took a hobby knife to the clutch and pruned some weight off the shoes and fitted a lighter flywheel. After a couple of nights of practice at Logan it’s starting to come good. Got Schuie shocks and springs on it now and that’s made the difference – of course 😉
You racing Gas next Saturday night ?

Heavy you will need to go easy on me first race. Driver may still be in ‘Run In’ stage. 😮 but if I can find a Fast pitman like Sparksy, you have no chance heavy. 😀

How can you say that – look at the numbers registered for Logan this weekend – plenty of electric and they are flat out getting enough GT to make a race. And at the Qld titles numbers were down as well. Nitro Onroad is downward spiraling man.
On the World scene also Nitro Onroad is on a downward trend – they had to combine the 1/8th and Tourers at the World Titles this year because of popularity / numbers.
Electric rules. Nitro is fun though for a break between serious electric racing. 😛
