A good but hot day at Bayside today – hot weather – hot action in all classes.
540. Qualifying didn’t go as planned by Chris Sturdy today with a couple on new faces to 540 turning up to spoil the party. Paul Taborek got teh TQ ahead of Chris. Chris put on a faultless display in the Schumacher Mi3 to take the final. Looks like it’s going to be quite a class to watch at the Presidents Shield and the Bayside Cup.
Stock. Keith MAckrill was at his usual brilliant to TQ ahead of Toby “Sparksy” and Clinton – I don’t have the results yet.
Super STock plus 1. We had Anthony in teh Super Stock heat as he was the only mod entered today – needless to say he TQ’d won teh final. Of teh true Super Stockers Tony Lewis got teh Schumacher on pole and in teh final after a few debacles he ran out second to first time Super Stock finals winner Corey – well done Corey.
GAS. Trevor Kerr made the trip from Brendale to show us that a MTX2 is all you need to TQ and win in the GAS Tourer class. I don’t have the results but I know I came 4th after a flame out at 8 minutes cost me 2 laps while in 2nd. The CEN showed plenty of promise on it’s first race meeting – not a bad RTR at all.
PRO I have no results yet.
A good day had by all I reckon.
