There are some CATS in action at the Nats.
Mark Farren-Price is driving my CAT in Mod – also in Mod watch out for Michael Harlow in a CAT and Darryn Johnson in a CAT in Super Stock.
There are other CATS but not sure who is driving them.LikeLike

After two rounds of qualifying:
In Stock, Ryan McColl sits 4th, David Lawrence 15th. Any other queenslanders?
In Super Stock, I don’t know of any Queenslanders?
In MOdified, Scotty Kirchner is 3rd, Peter Scott 18th, and Mark Farren-Price 26th (bot unlucky in Q2 when on top-10 pace). Top 5 in mod are Griffin, Laughton, Kirchner, Pain Primmer. Scotty K has FTD, but I think it’s round-by-round Qualifying, so it will depend what happens in Q3.
At this stage looks like probably 3 rounds of qualifying only due to lost time (rain).LikeLike

Modified: Craig Laughton, Andrew Gillot, Scott Kirchner.
In the last final, Scotty attempted a pass on Laughton for the lead on the last lap (that would have given scott the national championship). The two came together and after the race officials judged Scott at fault and issued a ten second penalty. To his credit scotty took it on the chin and came up smiling. So near, and yet so far.
Fantastic job from Pedro to stick it in the A final and finish 8th. I’m impressed with that performance.LikeLike

Modified: Peter Scott 2nd (GO PEDRO!); Scotty K 3rd; Mark F-P 24th

2wd day is done, and great job from the Ippy boys.
Ryan McColl is the 2wd Stock Australian Champion, winning 2 of the 3 A finals to lock it up. Well done champ. Ryan Clark finished 12th, and Dave Lawrence 17th. Nice work.
Scotty Kirchner backed up his big 2wd effort to finish second again in what many see as the premier EP offroad class, 2wd Modified. Scott finished second to Australia’s best Matt Griffin. Peter Scott once more stuck it into the A final to finish 8th again. Top work lads! Mark Farren-Price rounded out what has been a tough weekend in the C final.
One day to go with Trucks the class of choice tommorrow.
