Well Bayside of course.
There will be normal racing and some fun events – sadly I won’t be there – got to get the caravan to the coast and get it set up for Jen – I’ll be commuting all next week to work and then get 10 days off before another weeks commuting.
Anyway out of the frustration of not being able to race this weekend I’ve just been out giving the CAT SX a good flogging up and down the street and the driveway and jumping the gutter etc etc. There is nothing quite like a good 4wd buggy, on teh bitumen, on dirt tyres and with a decent motor in it to get the adrenelin pumping.
Now who’s been around long enough to remember those events that Barry Puttee used to organise in the Ipswich mall on the pavers for Offroad buggys – I remember the year we had a bit of rain on the pavers as well. I reckon we need another one of those promo type events- they were the good old days, no doubt about it.
Anyone remember the year it rained at Maryborough (I think it was Maryborough ) and we ran teh event inside one of the sheds at the show ground – offroad tyres on the concrete – fantastic fun.
Anyone else remember – please someone remember – don’t say I’m the only one left who has been around that long 😦 😦

I DO remember the Mall racing…I think I had a Lazer …Health and Safety would shit themselves if we tryed to do it today!!!!

Am I showing my age when I say that I was there at both those race meets??? 😯 (Myer centre tops and Ipswich mall in the rain! that year schumacher mini pins were the go on the wet pavers)
ahhhhhhh the memories!!!
And yes, I too will be out with the flea (and his new toy again!!! how many does that make it this year alone???) running mod this weekend at the new look Bayside track.LikeLike
