Stories from the world of RC car racing

While Ashley and Hesham celebrate their well earned victories at Logan over the weekend the rest of us mere mortals get to look forward to the week ahead.
Saturday. Electric Offroad at Redbank – the Chargers new track. Nominations from 4 pm. Should be a good night there will be some 4wd running the 10.5 (19t ) class as well as the usual.
Sunday. Bayside Electric and Nitro Onroad. Nominations from 8.30. The usual Nitro classes (Gas Tourer and Open ) and some electric classes – 540, stock and Mini. Should be a good day and the Bayside second last day before teh Christmas break.
And my last race before my holidays so I’ll probably race 3 classes 😆 😆 😆 😆
See you there.

Can’t make it to Bayside this Sunday but rest assured I’ll be there in spirit.
Sounds like there will be enough for a mini class again with a lot of new guys getting involved and wanting to get involved.
Will definately be at the breakup meet though

Well – I’ve ordered a 10.5 motor and I guess it might be here Friday so we’ll see. I have a 13.5 in the car anyway so that should be good enough I reckon. Weather report doesn’t look good for Saturday so I am preparing Onroad cars for Sunday as well.

By the response on the Gold Coast RC tech thread and the lack of information from the organisers I really wonder if there is an event this weekend. By the number of entries it looks like it could be run on Sunday between 10am and 4pm with an hour lunch break. Makes me wonder if its worth the trouble for two days??

Don’t think the F1 will make it this week – using the ezy run brushless in the Mini and don’t have enough speed controls to go round – plus I’m in the middle of doing some mods to the F1 to make sure the might Tamiya stays ahead of those Corallys.

We had a massive storm through teh Western Suburbs this arvo which put paid to racing at Redbank tonight.
I went out for awhile and had a good chat the optimists who were standing around waiting for a miracle – the drainage is good there were no puddles but plenty of sticky mud.
maybe if they sent the trucks out first 😆 😆 but my CAT was staying firmly in the boot – oh well there’s always Sunday at Bayside.
