BAYSIDE AGAIN – that 2 weeks came around quick eh ?

That’s right it’s Bayside again on Sunday – should be the usual crowd – plus I believe there will be a couple more mods this week so that will be good. We’ll have another F1 demo before and during the lunch break as well.

I don’t have a tourer at the moment (still waiting for my 3.5 and loaned my Serpent to Rache so she could get started in 540 ) so guess what electric guys – there will be a full scrutineering for EP – try to make sure you are all on top of things for the Titles. Bayside has an excellent new box for measuring and I have a new little gizmo for measuring the wings and stuff. I’ll try to get some decent scales before the weekend – we have a good set organised for the titles weekend.

We have been looking at possible motor combinations for the F1 keeping in mind the ratios that are achievable with direct drive are a limiting factor if you think brushless. For the moment 540 will be the go I think.

Is the cheap Hobbywing brushless system worth considering for the F1?
I believe it is slightly faster than a 540 and has lipo support (low voltage cut off)

I think the ESC would be fine but we don’t want anything with too much torque for F1. Maybe that speedie with the Sport Tuned equivalent motor would be good. I’ve got a speedie so I’ll get a motor and try it

Actually thinking about it a bit more – it’s not the speedie we need to control it’s just so we all run the same motor really.

Ill put a 17.5 in for the weekend Heavy just to see what its like will bring the 21.5 aswell so we can compare them.

I have a 540 in mine – superglued the broken rear wing so good to go.
Looking to beat some Corally’s 😆 😆 😆

I got some new front tyres and some more new rears. I`m ready. Will leave the 21.5 in and might play with the 17.5 if I get time.
