This weekend sees the running of the Qld EP Offroad Titles event postponed from it’s original and traditional June long weekend date due to rain.

The event will be held over Saturday and Sunday at the BDR track at Bunya.

See UBD map 117, grid R 11 Travel north from Brisbane city onto South Pine Rd then onto Old Northern Rd. After flyover at McDowell at 2nd lights turn left into Collins Rd. Drive for 3 kms and turn right into The Jinker Track. Take first left into Sports centre then take first right at sign for Fields 1-5 & Club House. Just as you enter bitumen carpark you will see a dirt road going down past soccer playing fields and the raceway is at the end of that dirt road.

Saturday will be for Trucks and 4wd and Sunday will be for 2wd.

Get out there for lunch and stay for the finals each day.

I was out there this morning early and teh track looks great – plenty of traction and a good firm base. Heaps of jumps of varying heights and complexity. Watched some truck racing and some 4wd racing – staggered starts which is always a bit boring but nevertheless quite interesting.
Took a few pics but my camera broke.
Finals on Sunday should start about 12.30.

    ahh dooley…
last time i checked we are somehow tied at 1 all.
i am not sure however if i should play my tie breaker card as it might result in opening a door… a back door if you will…

speaking of factory boy… i heard a rumour that he changed the orrca rules just before he left to open them up so that he could try and get on the scoreboard with a 540 title! 😈

Interesting to note that no 17.5 motors won any stock titles and only one stock title went to a lipo.
    Stock Truck – Brushed/Lipo.
    Stock 2wd – Brushed/Nimh.
    Stock 4wd – Brushed/Nimh.
I imagine the Qld onroads will be different though.

Congratulations to Scott Kirchner. I think only 4wd mod was the only class he had won after the 2nd final, which he was lucky to win, as when he stopped his car after crossing the line his front wheel feel off.
Truck and 2wd wins were decided by the last finals. Made for some interesting racing.

Don’t think that Onroad will be much different re brushed v/s brushless. Brushed will still be marginally quicker if you are prepared to do the work.
