Stories from the world of RC car racing

A very perfect Brisbane Winters day greeted the 57 odd (as in roughly not queer ) drivers who turned up to do battle with the twisty, bumpy, hilly Bayside track today. Action was hot in all classes and the winners were
Gas Tourer – Aaron
Pro Tourer – Jason
540 – Khala
Stock – JP
Mod – Anthony.
In the main I think everyone had a pretty good day – I know I did. Was good to see some new people and some old friends making a comeback.

We ran the F1 cars in the break and after racing and whilst we had a few teething problems we certainly saw enough to know that the class could work at Bayside – after the Titles we will give them a chance to race I think. just have to decide what motor to use – those running today favour a brushless of somesort but we will need to check that gear ratios etc can be obtained before jumping to a decision – for obvious reasons the 17.5 would be a good choice but will they work – more testing will be done. Basically it was smiles all round so far.

Nope I would love to run mod at the qlds but will not buy packs just for one event so I will sit out until ORRCA wake up

    I don
t think I fit into stock and thinkn I should leave it to the guys and girls that run it all the time to battle it out. I`m a mod racer just trying to have fun with some old and new mates.
