Stories from the world of RC car racing

Another great day of racing at Bayside today – more entries in electric and Gas, great weather and great company – what more could you ask for – oh did I mention great racing.
I think in Pro Tourer there was a great final between Steve and Gavin. Not sure what happened in Gas Tourer.
In mod there was a non event (2 racers going around no spectale at all.)
540 there were some younger and newer people having a go – I think Karla may have done ok.
In stock the qualifying was tight as usual and the array of brands was impressive
1. Clinton / Schumacher
2. Keith / Associated
3. Andrew / X-ray
4. John / Corally
5. Adrian / Corally
6. Heavy / Serpent
7.Stuart / X-ray
8. Shane / Schumacher
9. Kenny / Corally
10 Tony / Schumacher
As expected with that sort of a field the final was a race to see – not that I saw it as I was in it, but I think that Adrian won from JP (that’s Corally 1 and 2 ) then Keith, Andrew and maybe Clinton.
Anyway it’s all good, add a few more from Sunny Coast and Logan to that mix for next Sunday and there is no way of even guessing who might take the win in the 3 leg Interclub final – don’t miss that one it’ll be fantastic.
My day personally was a mixed one – I was chasing ratios all day after cooking a 13.5 bonded motor in the first race. Finally found out that I was running a serpent and looking at a Schumacher roll out chart 😦 😥 . Anyway sorted that out for the final but unfortunately had a pinion come off in the second lap – darn pit crew couldn’t get anything right today ❗
cheers

I left Bayside in a rush today for a couple of reasons.
I only had a stand in nurse for Jen till 3 oclock.
I was feeling rotten and thought if I didn’t leave in a hurry I might not be able to drive myself home.
So if I left without saying goodbye and upset anyone – so sorry, humble apologies.
Anyway feeling a lot better now – just did 15 minutes on the exercise bike and for Scott – the fitness test is F4 which was F6 when I started a week or so ago.

It was a Corally in disguise 😆 It had Schumi decals all over it. I had bad luck in the final to, a bloody shock came off and a pulley for the front belt came loose so I was driving a holden and it just wouldnt stay on the track 😆
Adrian B, were you using the Intellect 3800 lipos?
    Cheers
