Stories from the world of RC car racing

Last race night before the Interclub.
I’ll have to turn up and race this week – need to get to know where the bumps are before the Interclub.
Also need to check gear ratios for running my Novak 13.5 bonded rotor motor – want to run it at the Interclub – last chance to run it in an official capacity at a race meet, then it becomes a boat anchor if it hasn’t blown up during the meet. Bad management on my part to be on the committee that changed the rules and me still with a brand new motor in the box – the problem with being honest.
Also need to see if it works with my Speed Passion GT speedie (which by the way is not a “clone” of the Quark and does not have the overclocking feature that the Quark has and that was originally thought to be a concern in stock). As time has moved on it’s probably time that ban on the Quark was removed anyway – experience showed it was a useless ban because the Quark would not run a Bonded rotor 13.5 at all let alone be an advantage.
See you all there if it doesn’t rain.
cheers

Bring on the last practice session. Just hope that the rain stays away.

Ahh well there’s motor racing on TV all arvo and a Rugby test tonight and enough time in between to rip up the road for a chinese meal – what could be better than that on a wet Saturday.

Well the motor racing on TV was pretty tame and the chinese meal didn’t happen and I slept through most of the footy – all pretty boring really.
I don’t think Logan should allow rain on Saturdays in future.
I’m guessing there will be a fair few at teh practice night on Tuesday 15th.
