Stories from the world of RC car racing

Schumacher have announced a upgrade to the Mi3 – imaginitivly called Mi3.5.
Now available in three versions
Pro 5 cell
Pro 6 cell
Race 6 cell.
This basically covers all the bases as Schumacher sees them so people can buy the Pro with all the best quality carbon and also the Titanium lightweight parts without having to add them later. This has been one of the major issues from the US where everyone wants all the bells and whistles.
The Race S1 will be a cheaper version – if our experience wit the S1 versions of earlier models is anything to go by it might be ok – the drawback being the Race will come with the old shocks. Cars will now come fully assembled which again might suit some and not others.
Some of the upgrades are parts we have already seen and used as option to the Mi3. Medium flex arms etc. There is a new shock top bladder (top and side holes) and a new drive shaft with steel axles and stronger alloy in the bone – the good news is there is nothing you can’t add to your current ride.

Just to add that the new Pro will be the same price as the Mi3 (a great saving if you wanted the extras) and the Race will be about $350 (great value).
The downside is the cars might not be available till August. Looks like I’ll be running Serpent for a couple of months.
