Stories from the world of RC car racing

Sat 2nd February marks the begining of Mini racing as a regular class at Logan of a Sat night. Will be interesting to see how that goes, certainly the guys I’ve watched driving them seem to be enjoying themselves which can’t be a bad thing.
There will be the regular classes at Logan as well this Saturday night 540, stock and mod as well as Nitro.
If you have  nitro come along and have some fun. Malcolm will put you in a heat with people as near to your driving skills and experience as possible regardless of what motor or car you have so come and give it a go.
It’s my 40th wedding anniversary this weekend and I have a feeling RC is going to be banned for the weekend so I’ll probably miss this one.
Saturday night racing at Brendale this weekend also I think.

It should be a sight to see this weekend. Only seen 4 on the track at one time and well that was fun to watch.
When they tip over they roll and land back on there wheels most of the time.
Who will be the first winner for the first round. That will be a big title to hold!

It’s very possible that the biggest grins in Mini might not come from the “winner” in the traditional sense.

    Congrats on 40 years Heavy.
We’ve had a few drop out of mini this weekend due to other commitments but still should have 7 or 8 that I know of. There are a LOT who have expressed interest as well who may surprise us.
If anyone wants “in”, let me know. I have a spare kit sitting here. Email is ozoner@gmail.com
See you Saturday (or not, if it’s your anniversary!)
    Scott.

well the prognosis on the weather doesn’t look nearly as bad as it was yesterday, so I dare say I’ll probably come down and risk it…
