Stories from the world of RC car racing

Bayside of course on Sunday – GP and EP Touring cars all the usual classes. Should be a good turn out for electric this week as we have a few visitors coming to race with us. Definitely racing in 540 and stock and hopefully mod.
See you there.
(Got sidetracked and didn’t finish this post )
Also  on Friday night Brendale Mod (incl 19t) and Novice electric and also Gas Tourer and Novice  Gas.
Also on Sunday Sunny Coast – all the usual classes.
You should all be able to find somewhere to race in all that.

I’m sure there will be a Mod field if Scotty shows up… hint, hint…. 🙂 Someone needs to twist his arm.

The only reason the “Flea Master” is going to show up is to try and steal my “Karn parts” off me… 🙂

Just don’t tell Tones about that conversation with Karn on saturday night when he went right through his car setup from bumper to bumper. I never knew some of those things he does were possible!

Hey Stewie… You weren’t suppose to know about the “Secret Clone” stuff either, it’s just that we (Karn & I) couldn’t shake you. 🙂

You just keep telling yourself that. I have only one thing to say to you:
“You are not an invite driver, and you never will be…”

I think he may have been afraid to have you on the track at the same time as the invite guys.  Something to do with mobile chicane…

“Master Flea” maybe true but I thought I’d have a better chance from Karn then from the “Local Sponsored Club Racer” (BTW: Only his close companions can call him “Karn”) :p

Was a good day – about 30 electric and about 15 gas so plenty of people and plenty of good races.
540 was good and strong with 9 entries today – a good start to getting that class happening regularly. TQ and the win went to Heavy in the Schumacher S400 with the Swamp Rat prepared motor and a mix of nimh batteries of doubtful parentage. I have a CORE 3250 hard case LIPO coming to install (and leave permanently) in that chassis just for 540. Second today was the ex Scott Mi3 of Gary Sturdy. The car was fast but just couldn’t avoid a few little racing incidents.
Stock was also strong with 2 heats today. Jason Wakefield was the quickest of the brushed runners with a hord of brushless snapping at his heels. He looked to have the TQ sewn up until the last qualifier when Bob the Barger put the Mi3 on pole, Jason 2nd on the grid with the Mi3’s of Heavy and Ben taking the next 2 spots. The final was a great all the way duel between Barger and Heavy with Barger taking the win after Heavy relinguished the pressure with a roll on the last lap great stuff.
Racing 2 classes myself I didn’t have a lot of time to follow the fortunes of the mod guys. I only know 4 things about mod 1. They have exceeded the control tools limit by far 2. They do far too much wrenching 3. Peter Dooley won the final 4. It was good to have our old friend Big Mac back in the pits again. Luckily for all teh mod guys their were no Schumacher’s running in mod today.
The Bayside club seems to be going pretty good this year. The new track surface has made the place a lot more attractive to electric racers, now probably the best 1/10th electric track around – it all happens again in 2 weeks so if you missed today don’t miss teh next one.

Just to clear that up – actually it was a Serpent S400 but was running a body shell with Schumacher stickers all over it as it was one of my Mi3 ones.

Yes, I thought about correcting it but I decided to let it “Burn ya”. I figured the “Stat Whore” within wouldn’t be able to resist commenting. 🙂

Sorry guys, looks like everything I said about mod was correct except that looks like Peter Dooley didn’t win the final – from the comments above I guess it was Anthony.
