Stories from the world of RC car racing

The Australian Open Golf wil be contested this week in Sydney.
As a non-tour golfer Matt Guyatt had to pre qualify for spot in the field for this tournament. He played today for a spot (10 spots were available competed for by about 300 players ). We are very excited tonight in the Guyatt household as Matt TQ’d (in RC terms) with 4 under and so now has the chance to play the tournament.
Watch the TV Thursday and Friday and if he goes well and makes the cut you could see him on Saturday and Sunday as well – fingers crossed.
If he goes that well Heavy and Jen might be off to Sydney Friday night.

Good on ya Matt. Nice to see the Guyatt name doing well in other arenas.

The Guyatt family are fairly shattered tonight. In RC terms Matt made the final and had a battery dump in the first leg, hung a brush in the second leg and had a pinion fall off in the 3rd.
In golfing terms 2 double bogies and a triple bogy late in the round put him 7 over – quite upsetting, but that, as they say, is golf. There’s always tomorrow.

Unlucky Matt, but great effort in getting to the Open in the first place… You’ll be back, and I agree heavy, there is always tomorrow..
