Stories from the world of RC car racing

Brisbane’s Logan City R/C Car Club have put down some significant changes in track layout for the new season kicking off this weekend at their Meakin Park circuit.
The “right hand” end of the track has some tweaks to the complex leading onto the back straight, but the series of corners between back straight and start-finish line is very different. I haven’t driven the new layout, but it looks excellent. Might be well worth a trip down Saturday night for the first runs – and the rights to claim the “new” track record!

It’s great for spectators – as most of the spectators are at this end of the track or in the pit shed and now that’s where a lot of the winning and losing is going to be done – it’s a great complex of corners and will take a few packs to learn the fast way through. I watched it for quite awhile tonight and it was very entertaining.

The track is awesome, a hell of a lot of fun to race on and it is had added another dimension to the track.
From 17 sec laps to 22 sec laps so it is longer. (Stock)
It’s much better for the gas guy’s too.
