What to do

The best advice for people retiring is to have a plan – I don’t have one and need to get started on something soon, here’s a list of possibilities.

  • 1/5th scale rc
  • offroad rc – EP 1/10th or GP 1/8th
  • study
  • caravanning
  • flying rc helicopters

any other ideas ?

loud laughter is also frowned on at golf – apparently. Sorry Scott, couldn’t help myself.
Think I’m more of a doer than a watcher.

Go the 5th scale. I recon you look good with one of those Heavy….
You would get a chance to race at a World Title event… that has to be a plus…

Crossed a few more out. Nigel – It will be a great shock to me if I ever get old enough to even consider gardening.
I did buy a small rc helicopter so if you come around my house and the garage door is shut but there are 2 cars on the drive you can be sure I am in the Garage learning to hover – between broken blades.

OK eliminated most of the options after careful thought and consideration.
I can say for sure that the 1/8th scale buggy will get a run at some stage – when it comes back from the racing Lines photographic session in NSW – and who knows I might love it.
I am definitely leaning towards offroad electric – 4wd for preference – either stock or 19t (the brushless version) so for those who think they are still good enough to race me start looking at the available 4wd buggies. I’m thinking shaft drive mainly for maintenance issues.
