This weekend I raced at Brendale Friday night – see Scott’s report below and at Bayside today – Sunday.
Friday night the carby kept falling out but I’ve fixed that now. Today the car was going good but I did have a few tuning issues which prevented me form getting the best out of it – actually it was about as frustrating a day as only Nitro racing can be. The heat got the better of me in the end and I went home early.
There were only 5 guys racing electric there today which has been the pattern for the last few race days – why is that ?
There was one heat of Gas and one heat of Pro nitro as well and that was it.
The highlights were
- The new roof over the drivers stand which provides nice shade but also, in my opinion is the perfect place to host 4 good lights, which would make racing of an evening possible, and in my opinion again very desirable.
- Anthony Atack racing a nitro car – Michael Redmond’s Mugen in the open race – winning it and giving lots of the seasoned nitro races cause for worry if Anthony ever made the change to nitro – unlikely.
After leaving racing early I went looking for air conditioning and found myself in Leos new shop at Sumner Park. Of course you probably all know that Leo has had to abandon those plans now as he returns to Hong Kong for family reasons -it’s a shame as I think it would have been a good shop and well placed in the Western suburbs which is without a hobby shop. Anyway it’s not to be. From all at Action RC we wish you well Leo in the future and hope that the next few months is not too tough a ride.
cheers, Heavy.
