The new Action RC Gas Tourer
1  2 3 4
Actually in my defence the paint job looks a lot better in the flesh than in these photo’s.
Powered by a two year old OS12cvr will this car be good enough to beat the hordes of MTX3 and MTX4 and Kyosho that inhabit the Gas Tourer class. Set for foams the car will mainly be for play at Brendale on a Friday night with the occasional run at Logan or the Gold Coast and the Interclubs.
The benefits of this car are that it can take a side exhaust or a rear exhaust, pull start or bump start with no modification – very versatile. Very simple to adjust two speed and easy change gears and as well as an engine breaking adjustment.
The car comes with a spool front and ball diff rear and features only 2 belts. Front ball diff or one way is also available. Although this car is running the old threaded shocks the state of the art EC shocks can also be used.
We will be using a Protoform Mazda 6 bodyshell to start, Boost 16% nitro and Ellegi foams.

Ran teh car at Brendale on Friday night. The chassis was very good and handled well just bilt by the book. I had heaps of troubles with my engine which prevented me from exploring teh full potential – will get that sorted before next time out.
