Itching to give it a run – maybe Saturday somewhere.
I have since run the motor in with the Stock Class at Hobby Station as a test and found it to be very similar to drive and in speed and torque to a good stock motor. I will continue testing at Hobby Station and hopefully at Bayside. It is not my intention to try to force rule changes on any club but rather that we can be informed about the new technology and take part in a reasonable debate. Many clubs are allowing these motors either racing within stock or as a class on their own but usually running with the stock class, which seems to me a reasonable way to go.
If enough people want to run these motors then obviously clubs would need to look at providing for them – equally obviously not for one driver if that’s all there is.
