It’s Official, Schumacher is back in F1 with Mercedes GP for 2010.
After weeks of speculation, Mercedes officially confirmed the Schu’s return last night, with the team and Schumacher confirming the details, and claiming they are out to win the championship.
On the surface, there is a lot to like about next year’s F1 championship. Hamilton and Button in the McLaren, Alonso with Ferrari, Vettel and Webber at Red Bull, Schumacher at Mercedes, 3 new teams into the championship etc. Lots to like.
As always though, much of the outcome will come down to who builds the best mousetrap, and with Brawn and Red Bull having been so focussed on the championship battle right to the death in 2009, the biggest question for me is how much of a jump McLaren and Ferrari will have over them.
Even if Schumacher has the speed….has he chosen the right team at the right time?

Am I right in saying he’s got a 1 years contract (1+1+1) so over 3 years with Ross there too, will history repeat itself… Benetton, then Ferrari,and now a new era with Mercedes…. should be really interesting in the years ahead.
Might have to go to one last GP to see the ‘Schumi’ …hmmm, Bahrain, Australia, Malaysia or China.. Which one Anthony? 😆 😆

i’m “very” interested in a weekend at the Australian GP to see Schumacher take on Alonso, hamilton and vettel. Any takers?
