Stories from the world of RC car racing

I’ve talked before about the Sunshine Coast club – host of the Qld EP On-road Champs in just two weeks – and what a great job they do of encouraging junior drivers and families to be involved in our sport.  Now they’ve gone one further with an opportunity to run a “School of R/C” in conjunction with their local school.  The plan involves working with a group of students from the school and teaching them the basics of maintenance and driving.  The plan starts with a group from the Special Education Unit, and has the potential to spread throughout the school.
SCRCCC are seeking the assistance of the  R/C industry and fraternity in Australia to make this happen. The would love to hear from you about your ability to support the School by providing R/C equipment.  They are not chasing the latest and greatest race cars, but strong, reliable equipment that can absorb some punishment.
If you can help SCRCCC bring R/C to a whole new group of youngsters within their community, you can either leave a comment here, or drop Kathy & William Seib an e-mail to let them know how you can help. We think this is an outstanding initiative of the club, and encourage you to support them.
Well done SCRCCC – we look forward to hearing more of the story in the months ahead.
