Gave the Mid a run at Ipswich today between rounds and then in the last final – was leading the final easily when a wire came off the speedy – dodgy preparation – I reckon the mid is still a good thing. Of course it wouldn’t be wise to run it too often as parts are very scarce but for the vintage races when they happen it should be very good. I’m more than happy with it, brings back many fond memories, was definitely one of my favourites back in the day.
