Stories from the world of RC car racing

Real racing happened today to kick the year of in fine style.
There were a few newcomers to racing who had a few runs with the Christmas present cars – good to see, hope they become regulars in 540.
Good numbers in both Open Nitro and Gas Tourers also looks promising for a fun year ahead.
Numbers appeared a bit light in Mod today – room for improvement.
In stock we had the usual world championships – my day looked promising with a second in the first race but thermaled on the last lap of the second heat while again in second. Went down a pinion and seemed fine in the third race but thermalled again in the final. My 13.5 is a very high mileage unit now and I’m wondering if a new rotor is called for.
Adrian had a fine win in the final to keep the Schumacher name out front (brushed motor too by the way ).
I ordered my new Schumacher R12 Team Nitro car tonight so that should be here soon to keep teh horders of MTX3 honest in Gas Tourer for 2007.
I’ve got some results from Bayside today on my memory stick so I’ll try to get them transferred soon.
