Stories from the world of RC car racing

Another big week for us on two fronts
1.Racing
2 The team

Racing.
This week we will be racing Hobby Station on Wednesday night. This will be the first time Heavy has run his new Mi2 EC there. Getting ready for the Qld Titles in a couple of weeks. Last week Heavy ran a brushed Stock motor and this week the Novak 13.5 brushless before he makes a final decision on what motor he will run at the titles.
Sunday we return to Bayside – our all time favourite for the continuation of the Stock battle. If you haven’t raced Bayside in awhile do yourself a favour and get out there Sunday morning – actually someone beat me around the ears as I am currently thinking about running Gas Tourer as well – there’s a spider living in the pipe of my gassie it’s so long since I fired it up.
THE TEAM
The Action RC Team Schumacher has been a bit on the skinny side lately with some of our drivers trying other models and diverting us from focusing fully on the real Mission. Anyway Heavy has sent back the Academy, sold the original Mission and sold the Mi2 so now he can focus on the EC. Adrian has got rid of the Red car and resumed the purple quest in a new EC and we are also delighted to welcome Bob on board as well with a new EC. With long time Schumacher devotee Shane still campaigning with two EC and Rex occasionally adding his presence we have some confidence in our ability to score some runs in 2007 on the Electric scene around SEQ.  Get on board with Schumacher for 2007 – give Heavy a call.

Gee – forgot about Brendale. Time to get the mighty Schumacher R12 Gas Tourer a run on Friday night. That willl save me from the temptation to do a double on Sunday.
C’mon you Gas Tourer drivers brendale Friday night is a goer

That was a fun night at Brendale Friday night. I’m claiming a win for Schumacher in the old men’s cup. Trev blew the motor in the Mugen in the second round (running too lean trying to keep up ! ) and I blew a diff in the final but at least I was 3rd when the diff let go so that’s better than Trev’s DNS.
Don’t know all the other guys in Gas Tourer but they are a good bunch – must rectify that next year and get to know some of them a bit better.
I’ll be taking a month off RC after the Indoor Titles on 10th but Brendale are planning Friday night meets right through the break so if you haven’t had enough of rc yet for the year watch there thread for some announcements. Now for some electric action at Bayside on Sunday – hope there are more people coming to run stock than there was last fortnight.

Good race day at Bayside on a slippery, dusty, very hot track.
Adrian had an all day win in mod running his EC with a Brushless 3.5 and 4 cell for the first time. Michael Renman had a run with Shanes EC in mod and looked very promising.
I played with ratios in the 13.5 stock brushless. Ended up slightly high and thermalled on the last lap, however, I know exactly where to start the year next year now – and , yes, I did write it down for a change.
next week Hobby Station and then holidays YAAA
