We had a great night of racing at Hobby STation last night.
Numbers in 1/12th were down a bit but what we lacked in quantity we made up for in quality. These little rockets were made for Hobby Station and are certainly good to watch around there.
In 540 there was good mix with the Schumacher of Gary Sturdy turning the tables on the usually dominant mini’s of Disco and Dozer.
In Stock (now “clubman” ) we had some great race long duels between various drivers with the brushed v/s brushless war in full cry. Honestly it’s hard to pick which cars are running brushless and which are running brushed. I ran a normal stock brushed motor last night in a borrowed Mi2 (my car and GTB etc are in Scott’s Nationals spare parts and practice bin for the week ) and still managed to have a good duel with Brad Hall (brushless) for the whole of the last race which sent us both home with big grins on our faces. Stock around Hobby Station is a very rewarding class once you get the setup and the hang of driving the different track – perhaps a little more precision required than at some tracks.
We’re hoping for a big contingent to turn up for our end of year bash – The Qld Indoor Titles meet on 10th December – a great way to finish the year and bragging rights for a year if you win your class – personally looking forward to the action.
