Stories from the world of RC car racing

Another great day for the race. Not bad for rc racing either. Although rain threatened all day it never actually caused any problems except for the Nitro Open final which suffered teh worst downpour all day.
There was a good competitive field in all classes and in stock there were 12 and including some of the very fastest drivers from around SEQ. Damian and Adrian ran our first or second all day including the finals and I managed third in every race as well. The final in stock was a particularly fast pace with all six cars breaking into the 17 lap bracket. Actually
it was interesting that there were 4 Cyclone and 2 Schumacher EC in the final. Cyclone placing 1,2, 5, 6 and the Schuies 3rd and 4th (Scott Harris). A good effort seeing there were only two EC running stock today. Graeme managed to win the B in a good comeback drive in the older Mi2.
Our lone entry in the mod class was Shayne and he showed flashes of brilliance, qualified 4th but couldn’t race much of the final due to a broken transmitter.
Another great day, really enjoyable and, as usual, well run. The results will be up on our site soon.
